Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website katygaragedoor.org (the "Site") and the garage door repair, replacement, installation, and maintenance services (the "Services") provided by Katy Garage Door ("we," "us," or "our"), located at 26077 Nelson Way, Building 12, Suite 1203, Katy, TX 77494. By using the Site or engaging our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

2. Services and estimates

All work is performed pursuant to a written estimate presented to you on site and approved by you before work begins. Estimates are based on the conditions observed at the time of inspection; if additional problems are discovered during the work, we will pause and obtain your approval of a revised estimate before proceeding. Verbal descriptions of likely costs given before an on-site inspection are informational only and not binding offers.

3. Scheduling, access, and cancellations

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area at the scheduled time, including securing pets and moving vehicles or stored items where practical. You may cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge with reasonable advance notice. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, safety conditions, or emergency-call prioritization; we will notify you as early as possible if this occurs.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods stated on your invoice. Amounts not paid when due may be subject to reasonable late charges and costs of collection as permitted by Texas law.

5. Warranties

We warrant our workmanship, and parts we supply carry the warranty stated on your invoice or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever applies. Warranty terms vary by part and job and are provided to you in writing at completion. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized repair or modification, vehicle impact, pests, or weather events, nor normal wear items beyond their stated coverage. To make a warranty claim, contact us at info@katygaragedoor.org with your invoice details.

6. Customer responsibilities and safety

Garage doors and their components — particularly springs, cables, and drums — are under high tension and can cause serious injury. You agree not to tamper with hardware we have installed or adjusted, and to keep people, pets, and property clear of the door's path. Any DIY guidance published on this Site (including our blog) is general information provided in good faith; you follow it at your own risk, and it is not a substitute for professional service.

7. Site content

Content on this Site is provided for general information about our company and services. While we work to keep it accurate and current, we make no guarantee that all content is error-free or applies to your specific situation. All content, logos, and branding on the Site are our property or used with permission and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without our written consent.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the Services or the Site is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or hazardous site conditions you knew of and failed to disclose.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fort Bend County or Harris County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other party.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Changes apply prospectively from the date they are posted.
